Opera Singer to Country Singer, Jamie Carol Releases “Lemonade”

Country music has many cross overs and the plethora of talent in Nashville is proof of it. This Southern California native, who makes his home in Arkansas, is also proof that pure talent runs deep in the heart of the artist.

His voice and the texture of the song take me back to the days gone by of classic traditional country music. Though some may say it’s a era long forgotten, I say it’s not. Merle Haggard, Charlie Rich, Conway Twitty, all had those unique voices that were distinct and stood out. Jamie Carol is one of those singers who has a very unique and distinct sound.

Carol has performed on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera, he sang for the United Nations 50th Anniversary Celebration for dozens of world leaders, including the President of the United States.

Jamie is now setting his compass on creating his own music, in his own style and I must say he’s off to a great start. I sometimes here a bit of country gospel in his tone and inflection. It’s so very nice to hear that in our country music artists.

The song “Lemonade” is on CMG Records and was produced by James Crowley and Scott Leader. The selection fits nicely into the genre’s of country, country rock, and blues.

With a firm grasp on several languages Jamie Carol has performed his renditions in German, French and Italian on the opera stage but his heart is firmly planted in the country roots of home.

Carol is a writer and has written the majority of all the country songs he performs. Digging deep into what life is really all about is where he derives his inspiration. His songs are fun, wild, and some break open the reality of the stark contrast to the world we live in today. Jame Carol is the real deal.

Carol has a strong collection of works under his belt and you can go to his official website to take a listen.

We The People” is all about the trials and tests we sometimes face in our country and near home. It’s a nice country ballad that reminds me of Lee Greenwood. It is inspiring and filled with truth.

My Dream Is You” is a beautiful with a soft smooth piano opening. This one reminds me of Elvis and Conway Twitty. The swagger and the sway is there and I think this one is the one for slow dancing with a special someone.

The last selection I chose is “I Never Learned to Dance”, it’s a warm ballad with great promise. I enjoyed the soft vibrato of his vocals.

Press quotes:

If there’s one thing Jamie Carol is on his recently released single “Lemonade, it’s cogent. No one can listen to this just under three minute tune and doubt his conviction, or sincerity, about the wonders of a “tall, ice cold glass of lemonade. ~By Deuce, Breaking and Entering Milwaukee~

Jamie Carol’s voice is big and booming, though it would seem the notes in country songs aren’t nearly as hard to hit as those on the opera stage. The lyrics are uncomplicated but nicely crafted. ~Onstage Magazine, Kath Galasso~

Musicians performing on this collection of work are James Crowley, Scott Leader, piano. Adam Armijo on electric and acoustic guitar, Andy Galore on bass, and Alonzo Powell on drums.

I hope you enjoy the latest release from opera singer turned country music singer songwriter Jamie Carol Lemonade”.
