Inside Track on Music Row with Preshias Harris | November 2020

INDIE ARTIST NEWS:

Country singer/songwriter and recording artist, Michael McCall (MDM Entertainment), released his debut single, “He Looks Good On Her,” in mid-October. Produced by Buddy Hyatt (George Jones/Lee Greenwood/Mickey Gilley/ Tracy Lawrence) and co-written by McCall (BMI) and Scott Randall Rhodes (BMI), the original track is available now via all major digital retail and streaming outlets. A resurge onto the country music scene, following the release of his self-titled CD release in 2017, the track dabbles in the murk of unrequited past love from the reserved seat of a barstool. The storyline is that of a happily-ever-after breakup and the realization that a former lover wears the new “look of love” well. McCall’s tenacious vocals portray an aging heartbreak and pining love to spin the familiar tale about the one that got away; simplistic production spotlights trademarked iconic country-western guitar twang performances that do-si-do with piano and pedal steel counterparts. “After sifting through a number of recordings, we kept going back to ‘He Looks Good On Her.’ The entire team voted hands-down that this was the single to come out of the gate with,” said Michael McCall.
