BAND NEWS:

The raucous and rowdy indie southern rock band, Six Gun Sally, releases its fifteenth studio recording “Redneck White & Badass Blue” available now via all digital retail outlets and streaming platforms. (Distribution by Ed Gertler/ Digital Retail Services.) The new release follows the momentum of the band’s previous single, “Drunk Text.” With a nod to the group’s musical heroes (Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers and Marshall Tucker Band), the make-no-bones-about-it original reveals the band’s 70s rock musical style and boisterous character. The revving opener, whammy electric guitar runs and gritty vocals (led by Allen Granus) set the pace for bold, take-it or leave-it lyrics (spotlighting “Freebird” and “Home Sweet Home”), while playful piano licks lighten the vibe as facetious humor. Written by Jeff Thurston, Anthony Smith, and Dave Barbe (band member and drummer), and produced by Thurston, Matt Muckle and Barbe, the “loud and proud” track was recorded at Hollywood Studios of Pittsburgh (engineered by Matt Vaughan) and features instrumental and vocal performances by all seven members. See more about Six Gun Sally and watch the video for “Redneck White & Badass Blue” at https://www.sixgunsallyband.com and (@sixgunsallyband)

I couldn’t do this without them or the team I have behind me.” “Whiskey And Rain” was written by Josh Thompson and Jesse Frasure and produced by Ross Copperman. Ray is set to perform a slew of festival and headlining dates this summer before re-joining Lee Brice on the Label Me Proud Tour. BREAKOUT ARTIST NEWS:

Rising songstress Mikayla Lane releases her newest single, “Ambush,” and the music video, which premiered on CMT.com July 29. Cowgirl Magazine exclusively premiered a first listen to the track noting, “Mikayla is bringing a vibrant, fresh sound to today’s country music scene…and we can’t get enough!” Stream and download “Ambush,” at https://onerpm.link/Ambush

Written by Mikayla and John Conrad and produced by Jimmy Ritchey (Jake Owen, Clay Walker, Mark Chesnutt), “Ambush” brings a spunky, cowgirl-themed tale of unexpected love on the range and offers up a western-esque vibe. “Ambush is your typical love story song but with a twist and some irony mixed in. Many have described it as ‘James Bond meets southwestern music’ and I couldn’t agree more! It’s about a girl who isn’t looking for love and along the way out of nowhere she gets ‘ambushed’ by love when she least expected it,” shared Mikayla. Recently, Mikayla performed at Troy Aikman’s Highway To Henryetta music headlined by country icon Blake Shelton with additional performances from Pat Green, Josh Abbott Band and Stoney LaRue among others.

DUO MUSIC NEWS:

The most legendary music duo the Everly Brothers paved the road for The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, and The Rolling Stones. Combining Appalachian country with the all-new rock ‘n’ roll, Phil and Don Everly produced 15 top ten hits in only five years. Driven by their soaring harmonies and propelled by their matching Gibson acoustic guitars, the Everlys were among the original ten artists inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. There was no one else like them. To celebrate their musical legacy, the Gibson Acoustic Custom Shop has a special limited-run Everly Brothers SJ-200 that features AA flame maple back and sides paired with a thermally aged Sitka spruce top, capped with the dual pickguards that the Everly Brothers made famous. This guitar also has essential SJ-200 cosmetic features, such as the classic mother of pearl graduated crown inlays on the rosewood fretboard, as well as a Moustache bridge with four-bar mother of pearl inlays. The bridge saddle, nut, and bridge pins are bone, while Gold Grover Rotomatic tuners ensure solid tuning stability. An SJ-200 hardshell case is also included. EMERGING ARTIST NEWS:

Blaine Holcomb’s new single “Lessons” feat. Kinsey Rose aims to do what it says in the song’s title: remind of Life’s lessons and how it pays to heed them. Holcomb’s lyrics urge us to cling to the most valuable things in our lives and to understand that failure is inevitable for any normal person. The song serves as a reminder to not take anything in life for granted, and to “make the most of every day.” These moving lyrics explain how we all need to learn valuable lessons in life, good and bad, and at the end of the day “you can’t change the past” so the best thing you can do is live each day to the fullest.

Instrumentally inspired by ‘90s country, the steel mixed with the acoustic guitar adds a homely feel, and Kinsey Rose takes the song to another level, adding harmonies with her crystalline voice. Holcomb, a Hamilton, NY, native moved to Nashville to pursue his music career, opening for national acts such as Easton Corbin, Justin Moore, and Josh Thompson. INDIE ARTIST NEWS:

Breakout indie pop recording artist Graciela (Gr8 Entertainment) has released her sixth studio recording, an original titled “Just Friends.” Written by Graciela (alongside Sean P. Jones and Aaron Kellim) and co-produced by six-time Grammy winner Jimmy Hoyson and award-winning composer Rob Deaner (v6 Music + Post) at The Vault Recording Studio in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the track is now available via all digital retail outlets and streaming platforms. The personal and honest musical introspective signifies the 14-year-old songwriter’s trademark to pen realistic and mature storylines that address difficult life experiences. The piano opener (performed by Graciela) lends a soft and poignant introduction to a tale of love and friendship lost– casual conversations that lead to hand-holding and unreciprocated budding affections detoured to the friend zone. Graciela’s tender vocal performance defines the difficult decision and emotional transition to remap the relationship. “This song is about the comfort level and trust established in a friendship,” Graciela introduced.  “…A comfort level that is threatened when feelings and intentions are misunderstood or grow far beyond the place you intended and wishing you could just go back to the place where the relationship began—as ‘Just Friends’.” More at https://www.gracielamusic.com and (@gracielamusicofficial)

Continuing to feed his growing fanbase with new music, Conner Smith has released “Summer On Your Lips,” via The Valory Music Co. Written by Smith alongside Josh Osborne and Daniel Ross, “Summer On Your Lips” captures the unforgettable flavor of young love in a nostalgic, heartland-rock anthem as the chorus recalls, “I was your rebel, you were all mine / Talkin’ ‘bout forever but livin’ for tonight.” Featuring casual-cool vocals that yearn for days gone by, it’s a heart-pumping tune built around teenaged freedom and us-against-the world optimism, dedicated to a moment of perfection that has never tasted better. Watch the lyric video at YouTube. “‘Summer On Your Lips’ is a continuation of what I did on my first EP, but also a transition into this new music that I can’t wait for people to hear,” said Smith. “This song is made for the summer, and I’m excited to be able to add it to our set on the Bring The Bar To You Tour!  Smith is the only Country act named to the Pandora’ prestigious all-genre accolade, Artists To Watch 2022: The Pandora Ten list. POSITIVE MUSIC NEWS:

Country music artist Wade Quick is sharing stories of how it is possible to maintain a positive outlook on life even when facing difficult moments in his latest radio single, “Stained Glass.” The lifelong music lover and talented musician genuinely pours his heart out to listeners of the song. “Stained Glass” is available on all streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music https://music.apple.com/us/album/stained-glass-single/1632288855 and is currently hitting mainstream country radio. Although hardships are inevitable in our lives, we tend to view life through a positive lens instilled by our faith and see the potential of a wonderful life. This is the story Wade Quick shares with “Stained Glass.” As a Christian who grew up in the church, Wade also knows that sometimes it is difficult to keep the faith in the midst of storms. “The most important thing is to maintain our faith and hope as Job did in the Bible,” he shares. While writing the song, he reflected on those around him and ultimately was inspired by people who were able to remain faithful and grateful through the difficult times. The song was written by Wade Quick and produced by Kenny Royster. More at  https://www.facebook.com/wade.quick1.

SIGNING NEWS:

Big Loud Records has announced the signing of Platinum-selling recording artist and Grand Ole Opry member, Lauren Alaina. “We feel like Lauren is absolutely one of the best vocalists, male or female, in this town,” Big Loud CEO/Partner Seth England shares with Billboard exclusively. “Certainly, she’s had success, but we humbly think she has barely scratched the surface of what we think we can do together. Lauren Alaina deserves to be, in my opinion, on the same pedestal as Carrie Underwood, and it’s our job to help her find that mode.” With an arsenal of accolades and a fresh vision for what’s to come, Alaina’s next chapter aligns smoothly with Big Loud’s ethos – even down to the name. “I got a label that matches my personality: big, loud, and country,” Alaina shares with Billboard, calling her new partner her “dream label.” “I really want to tap into my country roots. I don’t think people remember like how Southern I am…I’m a country girl through and through.” More about Lauren at https://laurenalainaofficial.com, https://www.facebook.com/LaurenAlaina and (@Lauren_Alaina)

To listen, click here: https://strm.to/Gold.  “2020 was a chance for me to give my guitar and the road a little rest. It gave me the chance to spend a lot more time adventuring outdoors with family and friends, but also alone. It also gave me time to reset and rekindle my love of Country music and a lot of the types of songs and sounds that I fell in love with when I first got to Nashville,” explains Bentley. “I think you’ll hear that in this first track, but it carries across the whole album.” Working with trusted collaborators Ross Copperman, Reid Shippen and Jon Randall Stewart, he led an effort that mashes up several Nashville golden ages as well as homage to the Grand Ole Opry’s century of influence.
