Daddy’s Dogs
Daddy’s Dogs actually originated in Nashville, Tenn and while we don’t usually partake at festivals since we get the pleasure of having them in our own backyard, let me tell you they have some tasty dogs on their menu. Never a complaint from us about their dogs – some of our faves include the Seattle, Georgia and Music City dogs!
Their fearless leader through the night, and the inspiration behind Daddy’s Dogs, Sean Porter, is more commonly known as Big Daddy. Acquiring his name in his many years on the road, touring with bands such as Cage the Elephant, Mat Kearney, Elle King, and Kris Allen, among many others, he has never failed to live up to his fun-loving reputation. Then, combining his love for cooking and unstoppable ability to have a good time, Daddy’s Dogs was birthed.
Meltdown Gourmet
If you are looking for a gourmet grilled cheese during this year’s festival – look no further. Meltdown Gourmet has quite the assortment of options from Classic and Meatlovers and one of our favorites the Bobby (Pesto, Provolone, American Cheese, Tomato Avocado & Bacon). They also serve up Cheese Steaks, Wraps, Salads, Fried Munchies, Fresh Cut Fries, burgers, breakfast, fresh baked desserts, appetizers and more.
Spicy Pie
If you have ever had pizza at a festival on any coast in the United States, and you can’t remember the name of the company but there was jalapenos and pepperoni… it was most likely Spicy Pie. They are everywhere and are probably the most popular Pizza vendor for festivals. If you haven’t tried them you should. There slices are obnoxiously huge and equally tasty – and they are even good the next day cold if you didn’t make it through it by the time you reached your pillow after a night of rocking music… trust us, we know.
Tica’s Tacos
If you are looking for shareable, fresh and tasty this is the place to stop. There tacos are delicious and fresh and their loaded nachos are huge. OMG, so huge! They also let you customize what you want on these items. Along with their fab taco menu they also have homemade chicken nuggets called “Dank Nugz.” They come loaded too and with special dipping sauces and parmesan truffle fries!
These are our top picks for this year’s festival but at the end of the day there are so many food options available within and around the festival and we can’t wait to come back with some new favorites during our wrap up review for 2022.
