12th Annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic Ready To Raise Funds For The Toby Keith Foundation And OK Kids Korral

Singer, songwriter and entertainer Toby Keith’s annual fundraising event is set to kick off next week and will help to bring a diverse group of celebrities and auction items together to raise money for a great cause.

On Friday, May 15th at the Riverwind Casino, The 12th Annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic starts with a private gala dinner event featuring silent and live auctions and an evening of entertainment. More than 100 items will be up for grabs including unique experiences like a cigar and poker party with Keith, dinner with former University of Oklahoma and Dallas Cowboys football coach Barry Switzer and current OU football coach Bob Stoops, as well as trips to the 2015 British Open, 2015 CMT Awards, and to the Napa Valley Wine Academy. Autographed items from Eli Manning, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Cal Ripken, Jr., Roger Clemens, Greg Jennings, Tony Romo, The Thunder, Phil Mickelson, Bill Walton, Tom Brady, Nolen Ryan, and Larry Bird will also be up for auction.

The following day at the Belmar Golf Course, activities will begin with twin shotgun golf starts. Featuring a total of 240 golfers, Keith and other event regulars including coach Stoops, OU athletic director Joe Castiglione, and baseball great Roger Clemens will return to the green. More celebrities including American sportscaster Brad Nessler, former Major League Baseball pitchers Danny Darwin and Kevin Gross, and former National Football League players Walt Garrison and Jeff Tupper will join the groups of golfers. At the end of the day, the top 20 closest to the pin on Par 3’s will participate in the Built Ford Tough Shootout; the winner will drive off in a new Ford truck.

As always, the event benefits The Toby Keith Foundation and its work with OK Kids Korral, a cost-free home-away-from-home for pediatric cancer patients and their families. The Korral has been open just over a year and has already helped thousands of family members as it reduces the physical, emotional and financial cost of traveling to and from treatments.
