Edens Edge Credits NSAI Song Contest With Big Break

For proof that sometimes you can win…even if you don’t win, look no further than Edens Edge! Hannah Blaylock, Dean Berner, and Cherrill Green formed Edens Edge in 2004. Shortly thereafter they entered the NSAI Song Contest presented by CMT. The submission did not make it to the final round of judging, but the story doesn’t end there! One of the judges, iconic songwriter Kye Fleming took an immediate interest in the young trio and encouraged them to move to Nashville and pursue their musical career full time. Fleming was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2009 and invited Edens Edge to perform at the ceremony. Big Machine Label Group President & CEO Scott Borchetta was in the audience and took notice, quickly signing Edens Edge to Big Machine Records. Since, they have been profiled as one of Billboard’s “Artists to Watch in 2011,” were selected as a CMT LISTEN UP! Artist and were also featured on three major Country tours last year with Brad PaisleyReba and Lady Antebellum. Currently, they are on the road with labelmates Rascal Flatts for the CHANGED TOUR. Not bad for a “non-winning” song contest entry, huh? You NEVER KNOW how one song can change your life. Send in your songs today!!!
