Tracy Lawrence Hosts 7th Annual “Mission Possible” Turkey Fry Tuesday, November 20th to Benefit Nashville Rescue Mission

Launched in 2006, the Tracy Lawrence “Mission Possible” Turkey Fry has brought in close to 6,000 turkeys and provided more than 35,000 meals to help the Nashville Rescue Mission feed the homeless in Middle Tennessee.

This year’s Turkey Fry is Tuesday, November 20th from 8 am to 5 pm in the parking lot of the Nashville Rescue Mission—located at 639 Lafayette Street, Nashville, TN. Tracy’s goal is to fry over 500 turkeys for the homeless and hungry during this year’s annual event.

Each year Lawrence gets a little help from entertainment and sports celebrity friends to prepare food and fry turkeys. The event has been supported by some of music finest such as Jason Aldean, John Rich, 3 Doors Down front man Brad Arnold, and Restless Heart. Sports celebrities such as Tennessee Titans Rob Bironas, Daniel Graham, and Jordan Babinaeux have donated and prepared turkeys to the event. This year Tennessee Titan player Rob Bironas and the Tennessee Titan Cheerleaders will be on deck to support the cause.

“The Nashville Rescue Mission is a blessing to our community,” says Lawrence. “Each year I am humbled by the outpouring of support from friends who give their time to be part of the Turkey Fry. This special day allows us the opportunity to help raise awareness of the great services the Mission provides everyday to the homeless and those in need.”

The event is free and open to the public, though donations are appreciated. If you can’t make it, follow @NashvilleRescue on Twitter for updated information throughout the day, as well as LIKE the Mission’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/nashvillerescuemission to see photos of your favorite celebrities frying turkeys.
