Nashville-based powerhouse duo, TOWNE (previously The Devious Angels), consists of Pennsylvania bred, music theater geek Steevie Steeves and straight-from-Kentucky, former bassist for punk-rock band The Pink Spiders, Jon Decious. The two talents unexpectedly crossed paths at Skip Ewing’s Horse and Writer Seminar in Wyoming where they immediately connected musically. The result of that chance meeting led to the formation of one of Nashville’s most brilliant up-and-coming duos and their debut project, “Games We Play,” which is now available on all online platforms.
“Games We Play” takes you on a masterfully narrated walk through the emotions of love, life, loss and everything in between. From the soul grabbing Runnin’ Into You , which was penned by the duo and showcases Steevie’s exhilarating vocals leaving the listener craving more, or The Rest , where Chris Gelduba (producer of Meghan Trainor’s Like I’m Gonna Lose You ) paired with Steeves and Decious to write a soul grabbing striped-down tune brought to life by Jon’s matchless style. This EP, produced by Evan Hutchings (Joey + Rory), uses all five songs to create a solid piece of art that displays Steeves’ and Decious’ unmistakable strengths.
