The 22nd Annual Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival Presented by Regions Bank kicks off tonight with no less than 80 songwriters taking the stage to perform hit songs as they were originally written. The popular Fast Access Passes sold out in a record 12 hours, but individual tickets ranging from $10.00 to $25.00 are available at the door for most shows on a first come, first served basis.

Highlights tonight include The “St. Jude Country Cares 25th Anniversary Show” at 9:00pm at The Rutledge Live Music Venue. Each year Tin Pan South donates proceeds from the door of one show to a designated charity, and organizers have chosen St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® as the beneficiary of the 22nd annual event. Brett James, Lee Thomas Miller, Rivers Rutherford and Caitlyn Smith will be playing hit after hit at this show.

Marc Beeson, Ella Mae Bowen, Ben Cooper and Melissa Fuller will perform the 6:00pm show at Belcourt Taps, and Lightning 100 will present Dave Barnes, Steve Moakler, Ben Rector and Andrew Ripp at the 9:00pm show at the Listening Room Cafe. The late show at Douglas Corner will be rockin’ with Rick Lonow, Johnny Neel, Dave Pomeroy and Ricky Ray Rector.

Produced by NSAI, Tin Pan South reigns as the world’s largest all-songwriter festival. This year close to 400 talented songwriters will perform over 90 shows at 10 of Nashville’s top music venues. Thousands of music fans attend the event annually to hear songwriters tell stories behind hit songs they have written and perform the songs as they were originally composed. Regions Bank returns for the seventh year as the presenting sponsor of the event.
