“The Minstrel” is seventeen tracks and 68 minutes of pure, flawless, country/folk sounds. “The Minstrel” is the latest creative outlet of incomparable magic by the one and only Nemo James.

“Dreamer On The Run” is a true rendition of a minstrel song. The music is smooth, soothing and yet it tells an intriguing story as well. Simple but effective lyrics. Alluring and chock full of folk essence.

Native to Mlini Croatia, for many years Nemo James filled the position of freelance artist, studio musician and he was content with his opportunities. His versatile agenda was what kept him on the move. The diversity from classical concerts, folk clubs, festivals hosting rock, country and western style music events was what attracted so many others to his talents. Having the ability to play in such versatile and diverse genre’s allowed him to develop and perfect his own unique one of a kind art of music.

Nemo’s story of music and his love of the art was recently published in his newly released autobiography “Just A Few Seconds”. In the book he tells of his musical journey through private parties and rough cut pubs in London. He went from being undernourished to selling food at a local market to becoming part of the fast lane in Gstadd, a restaurant owner and systems engineer with Microsoft.

“Forbidden Fruit” opens with a beautiful percussion rhythm and along with the guitar takes me back to the beaches of summer. It talks of a wanderer, a beautiful woman, a forbidden love. She takes what she wants but doesn’t see that what she really “needs” is right in front of her face.

Now after a hiatus of over 12 years he has come home, back to his first love and back to the most wonderful feeling in the world. The feeling of music. There’s no filler stuff in this album. Every thing is in the right place and effectively emitting the distinct sound which is Nemo James. Acoustical mastery of a genius music maker.

He has performed with several legendary European artists such as Wales own, Sir Tom Jones, India’s iconic pop/rock sensation Cliff Richard, and the ever famously popular Petula Clark.

“Little Tin Box” opens fast with a rocking beat and get’s your feet to moving quickly. Loved the pace and the story. It speaks of being broke but loving life. Debt pushing you down but never giving up. Really like this one. Even when your broke you can still have a light heart. The mix of rock a billy piano and guitar along with a steady rocking beat from drummer Chuck Sabo will keep you moving no matter if your broke. I knew all the words before the song was over. My favorite.

Nemo’s love of music was not surpassed by the desire to write a book but he did decide to take a hiatus and composed an autobiography of his journey through music. “Just a Few Seconds” has received a warm and celebrated acceptance. Sales and demand is high. You see…the life of a true musician is not always as boring as some people believe it to be. It’s a magical world of color, harmony, and sound. It’s a journey through story telling not only with lyrical words but well orchestrated instrumentation of the highest caliber.

This album will take you to the darker side of life and back to lighter side as Nemo expresses through lyrical poetry the edges and curves we take each day. His expressions may seem a bit simple but the meaning behind it is sincere.

Excellent composition of acoustic guitar and lyrical expression. No fluffy filler just personal expression. The soft sutle introductions of strings, piano, and horns lends a deeper earthy tone to a an already penetrating lyrical design.

Released on August 16th of this year, this album has received excellent reviews and is still building. For more information on Nemo James you can visit the links below:
