The Commodore Grille

THE COMMODORE GRILLE

Prior to reopening in 2009, The Commodore Grille was known as the Commodore Sports Bar & Grille. From 2001 to 2008 the restaurant was home to over 20 big screen TVs. During this period, Songwriter’s Night began and has since evolved into a nightly Songwriter Round & Open Mic Night. Prior to it’s sports bar days, the Grille was known as Ivories Piano Lounge. Once upon a time in it’s history, the Grille was home to The Commodore Club. Vanderbilt fans and alumni alike would gather around a large boat, located in the center of the room, to discuss sporting events and scholarly accomplishments.

The Commodore Grille specializes in great American cuisine and nightly entertainment. We offer live music every night of the week, all ages are welcome and admission is free. Each night at 10:00, our musical hosts provide an opportunity for anyone to play and sing during an open mic session. The live shows consist of Nashville original songwriters performing is rounds. Every Tuesday night, Random Music Group hosts a special Musician Night where a variety of world-class touring musicians perform together on one stage. There is fun for the family every night of the week.

The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner service. For breakfast, order a la carte off the menu or enjoy a hearty buffet which includes coffee or juice. The waffle station is for your enjoyment; pour, flip, eat. The restaurant lounge opens at 5:00 every evening and offers a variety of specialty cocktails and local drafts.
