Nashville Pop/Punk Rock phenomena Best Intentions has a super cool new single for you to enjoy. The group originally started in Philadelphia PA in 2016 but guitarist and founder Matthew Kleinman moved to Nashville TN in 2017 and relaunched the band with an entirely new line up in 2018. The new single “Twisted” was just released last month and has already garnered rave reviews.
The band is currently working on their debut album which is set to be released in the summer of 2019. The songs are written the texture of pop/punk but resonant with a mid-level hard rock pallet and vibe.
Shortly after relocating to Nashville, Matthew met up with musician/artist Tony Pietrafesa immediately forming a solid working relationship due to similar musical influences and passion. Through this shared respect for music they decided to renew the group with an entirely new set of members based in the Tennessee area.
The third member of the group is Jim Collet a phenomenal drummer with similar likes and tastes in music.
Today we are taking a listen to the new single “Twisted” and it’s a nice listen. The song begins with hard driving vocals and a powerful percussion intro. The bass guitar and drums are full and engaging. Pietrafesa’s voice is welcoming and inviting. It’s true expression of pop/punk at it’s best. The song over all is clean, fresh and modern.
This musical infusion of 80’s/90’s rock punk progressive pop is high energy and exactly what pop fans are looking for in today’s modern musical world. Best Intentions have already amazed a nice following of fans and the numbers continue to grow.
The song relates the message of how a break up effected the guy after barely making it out of a crazy relationship. The song talks about letting go of toxic relationships and how rather than staying in the toxic situation you choose to leave and let it go.
Instrumentally the song presents with a taste of hard rock interjection, bringing the song solidly in to cross over genre league. It breaks out in to several divisions which give it a greater opportunity in hitting a multitude of charts.
Raw guitar rifts blasts the frequency of the song to super sonic elevations of sound waves. The drummer sweeps you off your feet with a tight rock like foundation to the rhythm of the song. Collet is one with the drums, not just using it as an inanimate object. He’s one with the instrument and the inflection flows with ease.
