Hit Country music duoSweethearts of the Rodeo are back with their first album since 1996.  Restless, the all-new twelve-track album will be available for purchase on

October 23, 2012. The new collection, produced by Dave Pomeroy, Janis Oliver and Kristine Arnold, recaptures the feisty spirit of their classic hits such as “Midnight Girl / Sunset Town,” “Satisfy You” and “Blue to the Bone” and offers new sounds as well.

“The timing was finally right for us to focus on the dream we have shared for years – to record and perform together as Sweethearts of the Rodeo once again,” says Kristine. “Janis and I feel very proud of this project and hope that everyone who listens can hear the love and joy that went into completing it.”

On the new album, Janis notes, “We love the process of writing and finding songs and on Restless, we once again did just that. Nothing beats the experience of getting back together in the studio with some amazing musicians and doing this all over again. It’s been too long and we’re very happy to say that we’re back!”

Janis and Kristine have been singing together since their childhood, forming Sweethearts of the Rodeo as teens. The sisters landed a recording contract in Nashville in 1985 and debuted on the charts with a remake of The Everly Brothers’ “Hey Doll Baby” the following year. They followed it with a string of smash hits that include “Chains of Gold,” “Since I Found You,” and “Gotta Get Away.”

In the years that followed, Janis and Kristine might have been better known for balancing motherhood and life more than their music but it makes those years no less impressive. Kristine dedicated her time to her life and family while Janis spent her time training and showing horses. Together, the sisters ran a stylish clothing boutique for several years.

As life comes full circle, Janis and Kristine have rededicated themselves to their music, releasing Restless and touring nationwide.
