Soulful Teen Sensation Bailey James Premieres Holiday Music Video for “But If It Snows”

The holiday season is upon us and Bailey James is getting into the Christmas spirit, even if it means wishing for snow and perhaps a lost love to complete her holiday. “This is my favorite time of the year,” says the 15-year-old. “I’m originally from Pennsylvania where we always experience really cold, snowy winters. For me, Christmas wouldn’t be the same without snow.”

This video was shot and directed by Mike Sparkman with S.E. Productions and embraces what it is like to go through a break-up during the holiday. “This song is about a self-inflicted heartbreak. Yeah, I called it off but if it snows, maybe I made the wrong decision.” Following this exclusive, the video will be released on her YouTube page as well as on other digital platforms.

This song, which was written by James, Julie Downs and Steve O’Brien, was produced by O’Brien and is already impacting country radio. Even before stations start playing Christmas music, they jumped on the opportunity to download and stream But If It Snows. This song made the Top 5 Most Downloaded and Streamed Tracks on PlayMPE the day it was released, sharing her fame alongside major acts Carly Pearce, Devin Dawson, and others. But If It Snows is currently available on iTunesSpotify and all digital retailers.
This release follows two successful singles including her Top 40 hit Run Girl. She was on the road touring this year visiting country radio stations, performing at festivals including the CMA Music Festival as well as the Redneck Mud Mayhem which also featured 2Steel Girls, Adam Warner, among others. In between the almost constant travel, James spent hours in the studio writing and recording new music, including a special song she wrote for her successful Kickstarter campaign. Her Won’t Be Silent Suicide Awareness Campaign raised money to produce Won’t Be Silent, shoot an official music video and record a public service announcement with a very uplifting message. “At 15, I am a voice for other teenagers. I provide them someone who listens and has lived a similar struggle. Awareness is the first step in the prevention of suicide. Please don’t be silent!” Stay tuned for this and more music to be released early 2019.
