Sam Alex Set To Host Celebrity Kickball Game This Sunday

Sam Alex will bring together over 20 artists in a Celebrity Kickball Game to raise awareness for Get Caught Reading, a nationwide campaign to remind people how much fun it is to read. The event is Sunday, June 9 at Green Hills Park in Nashville, TN and is free and open to the public. All are encouraged to donate and share a book to the Little Free Library, a nonprofit that inspires a love of reading, builds community, and sparks creativity by fostering neighborhood book exchanges around the world.

Get Caught Reading is a nationwide campaign to remind people how much fun it is to read. It’s supported by the Association of American Publishers (AAP) and has been supported by Dolly Parton, former First Lady Laura Bush, Spider-Man, and more. Hundreds of teachers and librarians across the U.S. have embraced the campaign. They are setting up “Get Caught Reading” corners, allocating a special time each day for leisure reading, and taking photos of students “caught reading” for classroom posters.
