Rockin’ Country Gal, Corey Wagar Preparing for Launch of Music Video

Sweet and sassy, Corey Wagar is telling it like it is in her new video, I Hate My Boyfriend, which will launch next Tuesday, January 17 on her website. The video is following the huge success of her single and currently, it is #45 on the Music Row Charts.
“I am overwhelmed and can’t thank radio and my fans enough for all their support in this song,” smiles Corey. “It’s amazing how just a simple phrase can make a song become a hit! Keep an eye out for the video on GAC, CMT and TCN in the near future.”
The video was filmed in several different locations, including a performance at the historic Manchester Naval Base, where the Hindenburg caught fire and was destroyed in 1937, as well as Corey and friends hanging out at the Jersey shore.
I Hate My Boyfriend is the second single off her debut album, On The Edge, which was produced by renowned Producer Kent Wells (Dolly Parton, etc). Corey is gearing up for a show this Saturday, January 14th at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ, in support of Light of Day, a foundation that raises money to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease. She will also be in Nashville next month for Country Radio Seminar.
With a musical style inspired by the likes of country stars Dolly Parton, Miranda Lambert, and Carrie Underwood, this New Jersey native grew up listening to country music and knew she would make a career out of it. She began writing early on and has recently teamed up with some of country music’s best known songwriters including artists Jamie O’Neal, Billy Montana (Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, etc), Rob Crosby (Brooks and Dunn, Trace Adkins, etc), Lonnie Wilson (Rascal Flatts, Martina McBride, Alan Jackson, Luke Bryan, etc) and Karen Staley (Faith Hill, Terri Clark, Leann Rimes, etc).
