Ricky Young Release Single “Let the Whiskey Do the Talking”

Like many before him, South Carolina native Ricky Young traveled a long and winding road to Nashville. However, if there is a “correct way” to come to Nashville, Young is textbook.

In 2011, he met Grammy award winning producer, Nick Autry and they immediately hit it off and led Young to a series of trips to Nashville from Carolina to record his first record Spinning My Wheels.

During these trips, Young began to establish himself as a student of the craft of songwriting and secured several cowrites with coveted writers/artist such as Zac Brown Band, Lee Brice, Dave Gibson, Steven Williams and Stephen Allen Davis.

Ricky has pounded the pavement over the last three years touring with Honky Tonkin’ University Tour (55 cities), The Bud Light ROWDYLOUD Tour (45 cities), as well as opening for acts including Blake Shelton, Darius Rucker, Reba McEntire, Lee Brice, Jerrod Niemann, Tyler Farr, Eli Young Band, Craig Campbell, Colt Ford, Chase Rice and many more.  His touring has established him as one of Nashville’s hottest up-and-comers and his fan base numbers uphold this as they continue to grow with over 60,000 Facebook likes and 12,000 Twitter followers.

Ricky released his follow up EP, Feels Damn Good in August and it peaked in the Top 20 of the iTunes Country Charts. The first single “Baby Wassup” featuring Bubba Sparxxx spent 14 weeks in rotation on Sirius XM’s The Highway.  Young is garnering much noise from this latest project and has 1.3 million YouTube views and over 300,000 Ricky youngSpotify streams.

On on the heels of the success with the first single, Young is releasing “Let the Whiskey Do the Talking” which will also be in rotation on The Highway and has already sold 30,000 units since it dropped. In correlation with the release, Young is having a single release party at Exit/In on Wednesday, April 29th for the new single and the guest list includes Bubba Sparxxx, Lee Brice, Dee Jay Silver and more.
