Prevost LeMirage Entertainer Bus for Sale … Memories Included David Frizzell Sells 1991 Tour Bus

david frizzell busIf these walls could talk! It has an 8V92 engine, new tires and batteries, and it’s carried some of Country Music’s greatest legends from California to New York and just about everywhere in between. It’s the 1991 Prevost tour bus owned by David Frizzell (“You’re the Reason God Made Oklahoma,” “I’m Gonna Hire a Wino”), and it’s for sale.

Like its owner, this 1991 Prevost has never missed a show. The next entertainer to hit the road on this bus will be riding along with the memories of many tours before, and some celebrity friends. The walls are surely eager to spill the secrets and laughs shared by the likes of Jimmy Fortune, Helen Cornelius, Jeannie Seely, Shelly West, Leroy Van Dyke and T. Graham Brown; just a few of the many stars who’ve joined Frizzell on the road.

“We’ve used the bus as a dressing room and as a place to host friends on the road,” Frizzell says. “Among my favorite memories are the times when Jimmy Fortune has been at the wheel. We’ve had a few close calls when he’s driving and telling stories at the same time, but I’ve laughed too hard to care!”

A few years ago, the bus was wrapped for a national promotion and awareness campaign in support of Mothers Against Drunk Driving. The campaign was in cooperation with Liberty Tax Service and featured David’s poignant recording, “Say Hello To Heaven.”

When he decided it was time for a new rig, David ensured that the old girl was tuned to perfection, had a new coat of paint, new tires and batteries.

“This bus will always represent me, and I want it to look and perform at its best,” Frizzell says.

Listed for sale by Wade and Libby Staley at www.staleycoach.com, the bus is, according to Wade, “one of the cleanest XLs we’ve ever had.” The coach is also listed on Craigslist Nashville.

Lest fans be concerned that selling the bus is any indication of Frizzell slowing down, have no fear. The tireless entertainer, author and producer has simply purchased a new bus with a different floorplan to meet his current, and always busy, needs.
