Natalie Hemby and Barry Dean to participate in a Songwriter Session on Feb. 2

WHAT: Songwriters Natalie Hemby and Barry Dean will perform and share stories behind the songs they have written during a Songwriter Session at the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum. The program is presented in support of the museum’s current exhibition, Little Big Town: Power of Four.

WHEN: Saturday, Feb. 2, at 11:30 a.m.

WHO:  Hemby and Dean have each written songs for Little Big Town’s albums Painkiller, Tornado, and Breaker. Hemby wrote the hit “Tornado,” and Dean wrote “Day Drinking.” Together, with Luke Laird, they wrote the band’s #1 hit “Pontoon.”

Dean also wrote Tim McGraw’s “Diamond Rings and Old Barstools,” Martina McBride’s “God’s Will,” Brothers Osborne’s “Rum,” and Michael Ray’s “Think a Little Less.”

Hemby’s other songwriting credits include Miranda Lambert’s “Automatic,” “Baggage Claim,” “Only Prettier,” and “White Liar;” Lady Antebellum’s “Downtown;” and Justin Moore’s “You Look Like I Need a Drink.” She also released her own critically acclaimed album Puxico in 2017.
