With a mantra of “going against the grain,” alternative rock/pop trio Sunset East released their debut single “These Tracks” in November via iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify amongst other digital platforms. Now just ahead of their forthcoming self-titled EP, due on February 8 2019, the trio has release the official music video for their single.
Directed by Brooke Greenberg, the story behind “These Tracks” is depicted by actors Delaney Keithand Josh Shearer and was filmed outside of Nashville at the District Fair in Lawrenceburg.
“The location was chosen to fit in with the rollercoaster ride theme of the song,” said Sunset East’s lead singer Ellen Hogan. “The shoot day was definitely an adventure. It started by driving all through the night after a gig in Charleston, SC the night before. It was a fun shoot, we had a great team behind us, and we think it captures the vibe behind the song’s lyrics.”
“These Tracks,” co-written by Sunset East (Harrison Doyle, Ellen Hogan, and Kyle Robert) alongside Eric Ganis, showcases the trio’s edge and three-part harmonies and was produced by Shawn Gough. Recently, Sunset East debuted the single live on WSMV’s Today in Nashville.
“’These Tracks’ epitomizes the rollercoaster ride of toxic relationships; though it feels great at times, it’s damaging effects outweigh the pros,” said Doyle.
“We chose to release this as our debut single because of the catchy groove and pop-feel, which stands out from the other tracks on our EP,” added Robert.
Sunset East will hold an EP release celebration On Thursday, February 7th at InDo Nashville (632 Fogg St.) from 5-7 p.m. where Harrison, Ellen, and Kyle will be performing the project in it’s entirety.
