Musicians Corner to Introduce Beer Garden Beginning with its May 5 Spring Kick Off and Cinco De Mayo Celebration

Musicians Corner, Nashville’s free weekly lawn party in Centennial Park, is pleased to announce that it will introduce a beer garden during its spring season, beginning with its May 5 kick off event that will also serve as a Cinco de Mayo Celebration.

Musicians Corner has teamed up with R.S. Lipman on a beer garden that will echo the event’s local community focus by featuring Nashville brands Yazoo and Hap and Harry’s. “We’re excited to introduce a beer garden as we grow Musicians Corner for our community and thrilled to be partnering with Lipman to showcase local brands” said John Tumminello, Executive Director.

The Musicians Corner’s Beer Garden will be accessible to attendees ages 21 and over. Located next to the main performance stage, guests can enjoy a cold beer in Centennial Park while enjoying free music performances. Wine is expected to be made available at a later date.
The Musicians Corner Beer Garden opens one hour before the music performances begin each week. It will be open from 2-6 PM during Musicians Corner’s spring season, which takes place on Saturdays from May 5 to June 30.

To further enhance its May 5 kick off celebration taking place on Cinco de Mayo, Latin Salsa band Afinke, has been added to a diverse May 5 line up that also includes Sugar & The Hi Lows, The Fisk Jubilee Singers, Escondido, Anderson East, Rayvon Owen and Punchinello. Mayor Karl Dean is also expected to make an appearance to help kick off Musicians Corner’s third season of free music in Centennial Park.

Musicians Corner is also pleased to announce four additional main stage performers for the spring season, including Capitol Records artist Lighter Ray on June 9, The Hogslop String Band on June 17, Kopecky Family Band on June 23 and The Farewell Drifters on June 30.
