In an exciting new addition to the festival’s food, three of New York’s most loved restaurants will set up shop at the farm: Roberta’s Pizza, Crif Dogs and Baohaus. Roberta’s, a Brooklyn favorite, will be serving wood-fired pizzas from homemade dough, topped with hand-pulled mozzarella and locally grown vegetables. An East Village institution, Crif Dogs will be frying up their famous bacon-wrapped dogs with toppings ranging from avocado and sour cream to pineapple and teriyaki and grilling their Veggie Dogs with Hummus and Pepperoncinis. Chef Eddie Huang of Baohaus will be hosting Bonnaroo’s first ever food pop-ups. Fans may find Huang dishing out complimentary bites of his Taiwanese street food everywhere from The Food Truck Oasis to the Camping Pods to the stage-side concessions. Huang will also select menu items from Eatbox, Roberta’s, and Crif Dogs to give away. Fans can follow @Bonnaroo and @MrEddieHuang for the most current updates on the pop-up’s whereabouts during the weekend. Footage will also stream on “bonnaroo365” on YouTube, www.youtube.com/user/bonnaroo365, after the festival.

Bonnaroo introduced its first Food Truck Oasis in 2011 so it is with much excitement that it announces an expanded version in 2012. After prepping for nearly two months to feed the crowds, 9 trucks in total will roll into Bonnaroo’s farm. To create the Food Truck Oasis, eight of these trucks will park on the west side of Centeroo, between “This Tent” and Splash-A-Roo. Food trucks in total at Bonnaroo include those from Tennessee and surrounding Southeastern states:

· Eatbox (Asheville, North Carolina) serving wraps like Dirty South (peppercorn seasoned steak, tater tots, grilled onions, housemade bacon scallion sauce)
· Gastropod (Miami, Florida), a gourmet food truck with fusion cooking and an emphasis on local, seasonal ingredients
· Good You (Kansas City, Missouri), organic urban street food sourced from local farmers and purveyors
· Gypsy Queen (Asheville, Tennessee), authentic and organic Lebanese street food made from scratch and served from a vintage van affectionately named “Spartacus”
· Petro’s Chili & Chips (Knoxville, Tennessee), with its take on chili bowls, known as Petro Bowls, and tortilla chips
· Pot Kettle Black (Charleston, South Carolina), with a soulful menu made from seasonal local produce
· Roti Rolls (Charleston, South Carolina), with a seasonal fusion menu drawing from Asian, Indian, Caribbean, Latin, and Southern recipes
· Savory and Sweet (Knoxville, Tennessee), gourmet Southwestern cuisine
· Tex’s Tacos (Atlanta, Georgia), with a take on Tex-Mex that has earned it a reputation as Atlanta’s best food truck. *Tex’s Tacos will not be within the Oasis but at Bonnaroo.

A number of Tennessee restaurants, many of which enthusiastically place emphasis on sustainable, local food sourcing, will also be on-site. Prater’s BBQ, a statewide favorite, has been at Bonnaroo since its inception and will return to the festival for year eleven with a menu of savory, smoked meats, specialty homemade sauces, and sides like Fried Dill Pickles and Fried Green Tomatoes. Bear Creek Farm, a family-run farm just 50 miles from Manchester, will also be back with its renowned Angus burgers.

The health- and eco-conscious will be particularly drawn to stands like the Solar Café, a traveling café and juice joint from Northwood, New Hampshire that uses solar panels as its energy source, and to Planet Roo Café, Bonnaroo’s 100% waste-free café. Planet Roo’s menu features fresh local produce and bites like Pan Seared Trout with wilted fresh baby spinach, Pecan Southern Stir Fry, Sesame Asparagus, and Grilled Sweet Potatoes. Planet Roo will also be home to the Bonnaroo Victory Garden where guests can learn about sustainable eating and how to grow their own garden.

The Broo’ers Festival celebrates its tenth year this year and 21 breweries will gather to create an incredible beer experience. Under one tent, guests will find microbreweries from around the country offering up hearty bocks, revitalizing pilsners, and crisp pale ales. Outside the tent, guests can catch the acts on the “Which Stage” while kicking back at picnic tables and on hay barrels. With great appeal to beer enthusiasts, there will also be Brooe’ers University, held in a tent adjacent to the beer experience. Here, various seminars and discussions will be held such as “Hops 101” by Sierra Nevada; “Dress Up, Not Down,” a discussion about complex drinks made from beer with Brooklyn Brewery; “The Art of drinking at Bonnaroo, What Beers and When” by Yazoo and“Craft Munchies, Paring Comfort Foods with Great Beer”by Schlafly.
