Born the son of a preacher, singer/songwriter Marty McIntosh may have had faith that he’d succeed in music, but a little luck has surely played a hand as well.

A venue where Marty once played was the setting for a concert by the legendary, multi-award winning David Frizzell, a man whose music McIntosh has long admired. The venue owner facilitated an introduction and the newcomer was soon planning an album to be produced by one of his idols.

“Everyone remembers David’s ‘I’m Gonna Hire a Wino to Decorate our Home’ as one of the best drinkin’ songs ever,” McIntosh laughs. “And David’s duets with Shelly West are the stuff of legends. His ear is impeccable and we’re cranking out some killer tracks!”

The collaboration has led to the release of a debut single by McIntosh with an album forthcoming. “The American Night” (written by Dennis Knutson and Roger Allan Wade) is currently making noise at radio and a music video is in production.

Marty has performed with and opened for artists including Ronnie McDowell, T.G.Sheppard, Razzy Bailey, Little Texas and Collin Raye. His band performs regularly in the Southeast US where the artist loves to spend time on the beaches of the Gulf.

“This fella’s got great promise,” Frizzell says of working with McIntosh. “He is absolutely passionate about music and performing and we’re having an amazing time in the studio.”
