Kassi Ashton Takes to the Road this Summer with Festival Appearances including Bonnaroo and Touring with Maren Morris this Fall

During CMA Fest in Nashville last week, we had the opportunity to chat with Kassi Ashton about her next big leaps into the tour circuit.

Kassi performed at CMA Fest on the Chevy Breakout Stage and her fierce performance and unique style brought a crowd that was not only fans but we watched as passer-bys were drawn in by her performance as well. She lights a stage and makes it her own without even trying. And did we mention she rocked it in a onsie she made out of an Oversized Eric Church tee?!

Next stops for Kassi include Bonnaroo this weekend on Thursday for a late night set in The Ville Plaza (Plaza 7) during Whiskey Jam.

Kassi started making waves in the Country scene with a big splash in 2017 with the release of her album California Missouri.

As her profile grew, she lent her voice to the standout “Drop Top” on Keith Urban’s chart-topping 2018 album, Graffiti U. He went on to describe her as “such a unique, original creature.” Expanding on her confessional and catchy storytelling, she maintained momentum on the summer solo song “Taxidermy.”

Fast forward to now and she has continued to defy convention and define a signature style on the 2019 singles “Violins,” “Pretty Shiny Things” —and landed a slot touring with one of Country’s other leading ladies, Maren Morris.

We ask Kassi how it happened and to our surprise (and hers upon initially hearing), it was Maren that was seeking her out so to speak.
“Maren was asked about up and coming female artists that she admired and in several interviews my name came up. I was blown away and honored that she knew about me,” said Kassi. “We started messaging on Instagram and when a slot on her tour came available we went for it and well, now we hit the road this Fall.”

These two ladies make a truly amazing team up for a tour. Both are Country Strong females with a little bit of spice to their sound. They are not afraid to push the boundaries with their music and not to mention they both are artistically inclined not just musically but also when it comes to the other aspects of their music as well as their fashion.

Kassi was sporting some amazing silver rings and necklaces during our interview and was telling us about her rhinestone combat boots (which her team wishes she would give up) but Kassi insists she couldn’t leave home with out them. We can’t wait to see her rock some styles at Roo this weekend.

We will have a few surprises with Kassi and her Roo experience this weekend so stay tuned for some FABULOUS that only Kassi can bring you.
