Jake Flint Rides In Style On The “Long Road Back Home”

Jake Flint is riding in style as his sophomore single “Long Road Back Home” drives its way into the hearts of radio programmers and fans alike. The lively up tempo, co-produced by Flint and Red Dirt hit-maker Mike McClure perfectly captures the excitement of returning to beloved family and friends, and the emotional anticipation of going back to your roots.
“Jake Flint’s new gem is called ‘Long Road Back Home.’ The song grooves from start to finish as the lyrics lead us on a journey back home. Jake and Mike McClure produced this one together and the pair did a great job on creating a driving feel to a song about traveling. Jake told me one night that he just cannot write fiction. That will explain why when you hear Jake talking about getting back home and the excitement about getting there, it’s real. Jake Flint is the real deal and this song is just a part of his journey that I feel will be long and fun. We welcome home Jake Flint. Hallelujah it’s about time!”

Tulsa-based singer-songwriter Jake Flint has been steadily paying his dues for the past few years on the live performance circuit in the Red Dirt music scene of Oklahoma. Following the release of his debut single “Cowtown” in late-2017, his career took a sharp upward swing as his easy going style, quick wit and exceptional performance talents gained him a growing legion of supporters at radio and with its listeners.
With a recent well-received opening slot for a sold-out show by Texas music star Randy Rogers at the legendary Cain’s Ballroom in his own hometown, Flint is beginning to experience a taste of the “next phase” of his career as a concert artist. And based on what the media is saying, Flint’s goals are within striking distance. Melissa Payne of Splice Magazine stated in her show review from the Cain’s concert: “With his stage presence and professional yet approachable demeanor, it’s obvious Flint has the makings of a headliner and won’t be opening shows for long.”
“I am super excited about how ‘Long Road Back Home’ is being received by radio and my fans, and for the reactions to my performances. The support is very humbling,” states Flint.
“Humble” and “real” are traits that are endearing him to everyone who meets him or interacts with him. And while he is busy visiting radio stations across the region in support of the single and playing shows on the weekends, Flint never forgets where he came from and always looks forward to that “long road back home.”
