The Inspirational Country Music Association Faith, Family & Country™ 20th Anniversary Awards Week, to be held on Oct., 14 – 18 at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel (2025 Rosa L. Parks Boulevard) in Nashville, TN is set to celebrate two decades of success and growth that has occurred in the Inspirational and Christian Country music genre since the foundation of the original Christian Country Music Association in the 1990’s. Back by popular demand, “Inside Edition” Correspondent,Megan Alexander and GAC “Headline Country” Host, Storme Warren will return to co-host the18th Annual ICM Faith, Family & Country™ Awards, the keynote event of the week, at the elegantSchermerhorn Symphony Center (One Symphony Place) on Oct., 18. Every year, this week draws music fans, media and the industry’s top artists to Nashville where they showcase music and discuss industry related issues. The Annual ICM Faith, Family & Country™ AwardsWeek is dedicated to honoring and showcasing the biggest names and emerging talent among artists who perform Inspirational and Christian Country music which is inspired by Faith, Family, and Country ™. This year the Inspirational Country Music Association will pay a special tribute to the past twenty years of Inspirational and Christian Country music during the ICM Faith, Family and Country™ 20 Year Home Coming Concert Celebration, a free event that is open to the public. In addition festivities will includeshowcases, a songwriting contestseminars, a talent competition and much more.

The first awards ceremony back in 1993 (CCMA Awards at that time) began with a humble six awardsincluding the “Pioneer Award” (Oak Ridge Boys), “Male Vocalist of the Year” (Bruce Haynes), “Female Vocalist of the Year” (Teri Lyn), “Christian Country Song of the Year” (Rodeo Preacher – Bruce Haynes),“Group of the Year” (White River), and “Songwriter of the Year” (Paul Overstreet). Today the award show (currently the Annual ICM Faith, Family & Country™ Awards) has expanded to include over twenty awardsincluding “Entertainer of the Year,” “Vocal Duo of the Year,” “Vocal Group of the Year,” “Mainstream Country Artist of the Year,” “Mainstream Inspirational Song of the Year,” “Video of the Year, and“Inspirational Bluegrass Artist of the Year.” In addition the ceremony now honors new artists, youth, radio stations and personalities, movies, television networks, musicians, and videos that have had a large impact on the Inspirational and Christian country music genre.
