RADIO NEWS:

Looks like Eric Church fans will be treated with a new song at radio!

In his ongoing string of releases, reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, Eric Church has released another song from his next album. “Doing Life With Me” was co-written by Eric, the lyrics express gratitude for those by his side throughout his career. Like the releases before it, the song is the result of a marathon writing session where he spent time sequestered in a rural North Carolina cabin and recorded a song from start to finish each day for nearly a month. The new music follows his most recent album, 2018’s Desperate Man, which was named one of the year’s best by Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, and Rolling Stone. Eric is currently nominated for the upcoming Grammy Awards in the category of Best Country Solo Performance. More info at www.ericchurch.com.

SINGLE NEWS:

Born in Kansas and raised in Arkansas, Blane Howard had already passed 75 million streams with his “Promise To Love Her” single, when he changed plays…er…plans and wrote, recorded and released his latest single, “Run It Back” to honor his beloved Kansas City Chiefs’ follow up run at the Super Bowl. The action-packed video, created by Kansas City resident Cornell Gorman, garnered over 450,000 views in a week, and the “Run It Back” single is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, LiveXLive, and iTunes.  “With the 2020 Chiefs motto being ‘Run It Back,’ I decided that was the perfect inspiration for a song as they defend their Championship,” said Howard. “I had no idea it would take off like it has, but the fans in Chiefs Kingdom are just like country fans – very dedicated.” Howard wrote the touching “Promise To Love Her” with Jordan Reynolds (Dan & Shay’s “Tequila,” “10,000 Hours,” “Speechless” and many more) as a gift from Blane to his wife on their wedding day three years ago. SONGWRITER NEWS:

With so many songs now being streamed or downloaded, most listeners don’t really know who wrote the songs they’re hearing, unless the bother to go online and research.  Most songwriters are now – literally – the unsung heroes, whereas CDs and vinyl records always had the songwriters’ name under the song titles. So a lot of music fans might not realize that members of Old Dominion have penned a bunch of hits and album tracks for other artists. Now the band is releasing a new EP, Band Behind The Curtain, filled with songs written by the guys that previously went to No. 1 for other artists. The Sony Music Nashville EP contains the band’s own studio versions of those hits, and is available now on all major streaming platforms. The EP includes renditions of “Make You Miss Me” (recorded by Sam Hunt) and “Save It For A Rainy Day” (recorded by Kenny Chesney), among others. Old Dominion are nominated for two Grammy Awards for “Some People Do” in “Best Country Song” and “Best Country Duo/Group Performance” categories. The band also won Vocal Group of the Year at the 2020 CMA Awards, marking their third win in this category since they debuted in 2014. Check out https://www.weareolddominion.com/
