DUO NEWS: 

Maddie & Tae will release a 6-song holiday project titled We Need Christmas, slated to drop Oct 23. The album includes four popular holiday songs, plus two originals, including the title song and “Merry Married Christmas.” The two singer-songwriters said of the album: “Making We Need Christmas was such a bright spot for us this year and we hope this project brings a little joy and peace to our fans during this difficult year.” Other tracks on the project: “This Christmas”, “Holly Jolly Christmas”, “O Come All Ye Faithful” and “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).”  Making the year a little less difficult for Maddie & Tae: news that their chart-topping “Die From a Broken Heart” has now been officially certified Platinum by RIAA.  Follow Maddie & Tae at https://www.facebook.com/maddieandtae/  

GRAMMY NEWS:

Four-time GRAMMY winning duo For King & Country have announced that they will be releasing a Christmas album titled A Drummer Boy Christmas on October 30. The album features 13 tracks – two of which are original Christmas tracks – and has been executively produced by Aqualung, otherwise known as Matt Hales, while Davide Rossi has put together the orchestral arrangements. For King & Coutry said that Christmas has always been something of huge importance to them as a pair, while also offering some handy advice on how to enhance your listening experience of the album. “The miracle of Christmas captivated us long ago and has been laced into the DNA of the band,” the duo said. “We felt it was the imperfectly perfect time for us to do our small part in telling the story of the redemption that Christmas offers to all of us. GRAND OLE OPRY NEWS: 

The Grand Ole Opry celebrates its 95th Anniversary on October 3 with a lot of country stars but not a lot of audience members. Dierks Bentley, Vince Gill, Lorrie Morgan and Terri Clark will perform for a limited in-venue audience at the kick-off of the Grand Ole Opry’s month-long 95th anniversary celebration. The 500 guests will be fans who previously held tickets for each night’s show. Health precautions include socially-distanced seating, mandatory masks for all guests and staff and enhanced cleaning practices. The show continues its one-hour livestream on Circle All Access YouTube, Twitter and Facebook as well as Circle TV, SiriusXM and WSM-AM/Nashville. Due to the ongoing global pandemic and the government measures implemented to limit its spread, Thirty Tigers multi-platinum country star Scotty McCreery’s highly anticipated return to the UK – and his first trip to Ireland / Northern Ireland – has been postponed again, from October 2020 to May 2021. In a statement to fans, Scotty said: “I am so disappointed that we have to postpone our UK and Ireland tour yet again, but the safety of my fans, the venue workers, and my band and crew remains my first priority. I cannot wait until May 2021 to get there! Lee Brice has announced that his fifth solo album Hey World will be released on November 20, while he’s also released the video for the title track.
