ACM NEWS:

The Academy of Country Music® has announced the first round of talent participating in the 14th Annual Academy of Country Music Honors™. Set to be hosted by two-time ACM Award winner Carly Pearce; artists confirmed to perform include Lauren Alaina, Devin Dawson, Sara Evans, HARDY, Chris Janson, Lady A, Ashley McBryde, RaeLynn and Lee Ann Womack, with more talent to be announced in the coming weeks. The ACM Honors, considered one of the industry’s favorite nights, is an evening dedicated to recognizing the special honorees and winners from the 55th and 56th Academy of Country Music Awards™. The event will take place on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium and will be livestreamed on Circle Network’s social channels – Circle All Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Circle Network will also air a television special around the 14th Annual Academy of Country Music Honors at a later date this year. Tickets are available to the public now at Ticketmaster. ALBUM NEWS:

The Isaacs, a multi-Grammy nominated family group with roots dating back to 1971, releases “The American Face” to radio. Composed of vocalists, siblings Ben Isaacs, Sonya Isaacs Yeary and Rebecca Isaacs Bowman and mother Lily Isaacs, The Isaacs found inspiration for the uplifting, patriotic anthem from the many genres that have influenced their musical style, including country, bluegrass, rhythm and blues, folk, contemporary, acoustic and southern gospel.  Written by Sonya Isaacs Yeary, Jimmy Yeary and Tom Douglas, “The American Face” is the lead single and title track from the group’s forthcoming album, available August 13, via their House of Isaacs label. The American Face is a 12-song collection split between new material like the title track and classics covers. Through The Isaacs Foundation, the group will donate a portion of proceeds from the album to The Bridge Ministry, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Nashville, which exists to alleviate the suffering of underprivileged children, the homeless and the working poor by providing life-sustaining resources and a message of hope.  More about The Isaacs at https://www.theisaacs.com.  

AMERICANA MUSIC NEWS:

Nashville-based singer/songwriter Samuel Herb’s new single, “It’s Been a Year,” is a reflection of his experiences the last 18 months. He explains, “it’s a collection of my inner thoughts and how I feel about them. A lot can happen in a year, and this is what happened in mine. I’ve been playing this new song on the road, and I am absolutely blown away at the amount of folks that felt the same way.”

“It’s Been a Year” features Herb’s award-winning Americana sound that first found success in his singles, “Dirty.” and “Someone Else’s Dream.”  Through his music, Herb gives back by planting a tree for every 1,000 streams received. Herb is originally from Jacksonville, FL. After placing second in American Songwriter Magazine’s Lyric Contest, Herb moved to Nashville in 2016 and quickly fell in love with Americana music. ANNIVERSARY NEWS:

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of “She’s In Love With The Boy,” Trisha Yearwood has re-recorded this acoustic version of her breakout 1991 debut single.  She made history when the original vaulted to #1 and cemented her as the first female country artist to have a debut single reach the top of the country charts.  

It will be on the upcoming release of the Every Girl Deluxe Edition album, available everywhere music is sold on August 13th. Trisha – a.k.a. Mrs. Garth Brooks – is a cookbook author, actress and television personality in addition to her singing career. She has sold more than 15 million records worldwide and is a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1999. The Every Girl Deluxe Edition honors Trisha’s 30 year career and will feature three bonus tracks.

Friends and RCA Records Nashville labelmates Chris Young and Kane Brown spent a second consecutive week at the top of the Country Aircheck/Mediabase country radio chart with their hit song, “Famous Friends,” which also took the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s country radio chart.  The single is only the 5th to spend multiple weeks at No. 1 in 2021 and marks the 12th career No. 1 for Chris and the 6th for Kane. “Famous Friends” is also Chris’s 10th chart-topper as a songwriter. Written by Chris with Cary Barlowe and Corey Crowder from a headline tour stop in 2018, the autobiographical song mentions Rutherford County, where Chris grew up in Tennessee, and Kane’s hometown of Hamilton County along with Nashville’s Davidson County – a.k.a.
