Epic New Single From San Diego Based Artist Sluka “Happy in Your World”

I am hooked on this latest single by the band Sluka. Progressive and alternative rock is a huge part of the Nashville scene. Though many think of Nashville TN as the land of country music it is actually about all things music, hence Music City USA.

This artist would find a solid footing in our star-studded southern city. This single is smooth as butter and has a bite like a shot of Jack Daniels whiskey. It’s hypnotizing. The creativity and amount of personality displayed in the song enrich the volume and texture of the powerful emotions displayed in the lyrics and tone of the song.

Sluka has been a musician for many years, he has many other accomplishments in his life other than music. He is a distance runner, a painter whose work is sought after by many, and has graced the walls of galleries around the world. He is also a jet pilot and owns a flight school in San Diego. His talents are clearly on the scale of no limits.

As I listened I could hear a magical, almost haunting collage of vocals, David Bowie for one. I love the tone, the effects, the inflection, Christopher Sluka has a mesmerizing voice. Love it!

Sluka has recorded 11 studio albums and a fan base that spans around the world. Born in Seattle, Christopher had a multinational upbringing, enjoying living around the world with his family. This life experience is most likely a basis for his gift of writing and musical talent. His accolades include numerous television appearances, radio interviews, and exceptional press reviews.

Artist quote:

“Happy In Your World” is about us,… humanity, and everything throughout our history having happened on this “Pale Blue Dot” as Carl Sagan famously said, “On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives.”

This track is the third single from the new and upcoming 13th album called “Figure It Out” by the band Sluka. Sluka is a progressive alternative rock group from San Diego California. I loved the gentle haunting, yet lyrical notes of the opening piano. Epic.

Press Quote:

Sluka’s “Happy in Your World” is a plea to us all to unite. To understand each other. To love each other. To see our kinship as preeminent, to remember how alike we all are rather than how different. ~ Samantha Simmonds-Ronceros, NOHOARTSDISTRICT.COM~

Phenomenal talent can be found regarding this new single and upcoming album. Grammy Award winner Alan Sanderson produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered the recording at Pacific Beat Recording Studio in San Diego. Sanderson has worked with legendary artists BB King, Weezer, Fiona Apple, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, the Rolling Stones, and many other major hitting artists, on some of their biggest hits.

Technically, Happy In Your World offers undebatable good taste, along with its musicality. It is quite obvious that Sluka has a strong taste in art, you can tell by the feeling of his music. The mix, in that case, adds a classic, timeless value to this song. And I must congratulate the producer in this way, truly beautiful work, every time it reminded me of some good music from the 90s. I loved it. ~metalheadcommunity.com~
