The Wish Machine

Electric Forest’s Wish Machine, the brand new Plug-In program launched for EF2018,  has sparked inspiration from across the globe. Impacting local communities in Michigan to places as far as Tanzania and Cambodia, the Forest Family considered what they could do – for individuals, neighborhoods, communities, and societies – to help make the world a better place. Pledges included raising money and awareness for mental health, rare diseases, and sustainable efforts; donating clothing, personal items, and funds to charity drives and disaster clean-up efforts; volunteering time and resources to local humane societies, hospitals, and homeless shelters; and so much more. Odai and The String Cheese Incident Launch The Electric Forest Book of Fantastical Fests & World Records

Odai was on a mission to set an Electric Forest record for the most Forest Family dressed as superheroes. This mission was to prove that anybody can be a superhero – you don’t need to have superpowers to become the person you want to be or change the world in a positive way.
In celebration of Odai’s wish, The Forest and The String Cheese Incident teamed up to throw an official Electric Forest Book of Fantastical Feats & World Records set on Friday night (June 22) during their first at Ranch Arena performancve.

Aidan & Burritos and Beats

Forest Family member Aidan created a project that he calls “Burritos & Beats”. Aidan gathered 60 burritos and 60 mp3 players – accompanied by headphones and a charger – loaded each with a thoughtfully curated playlist, and distributed them to those that do not have access to music around the Bay Area. A truly inspired and beautiful gesture, the Wish Machine granted Aidan his own DJ set at EF18! He had a chance to perform at the Silent Disco on Friday night.
