Donovan Woods Releases Live Videos Filmed at Historic Nashville Sanctuary

Named one of the best albums of 2018, Donovan Woods’ critically-acclaimed LP ‘Both Ways’ “as with the best of his work, [will] take your breath away” (Rolling Stone). The multiple JUNO Award and Polaris Music Prize nominee heads into 2019 continuing this momentum with today’s release of “Live At Southern Ground Studios” — a five-video live performance package filmed with his band The Opposition at the iconic Nashville recording studio, which American Songwriter says “capture[s] Woods’ soulful passion, studied craftsmanship and ace band.”

The video set demonstrates the versatility of his latest release, capturing the “cinematic, sweeping rock & roll” (Rolling Stone) of current radio single “Truck Full of Money” and the earnest, impassioned pleading of “Great Escape”, as well as the “very simple beauty” of his songwriting (Entertainment Weekly) found on “Another Way” and “Read About Memory”. The final performance included is the first-ever recording of an unreleased song “Think Of Me”, a heart-aching declaration that maybe time doesn’t heal all wounds, performed solo by Donovan.

It showcases an artist whose knack for storytelling and songwriting, as well as charming live chops, has led to over 81 million streams on Spotify alone, as well as having his songs recorded by the likes of Tim McGraw, Billy Currington and Charles Kelley.

Donovan and The Opposition are embarking on a North American tour, including a six-date run of shows in the US starting in March, consisting of stops in Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, Denver, Portland and Salt Lake City.
