Dilly Dally to Play Nashville’s Cannery Ballroom with Grouplove and Muna

Dilly Dally have announced an EP of remixes from their acclaimed debut album Sore, released 7th October through Partisan Records. The first cut shared was a remix of “Desire” by UK electronic duo CRIM3S.

They will be performing on November 12th at Nashville’s Cannery Ballroom with Grouplove and Muna.

Sore is a dynamic album that rarely lets up; it is both heavy and melodic, with pop sensibilities that shine through the noise. After years of rotating members (founding member & lead guitarist Liz Ball and vocalist and guitarist Katie Monks have traded out three drummers and bassists), they have settled with Benjamin Reinhartz on drums and Jimmy Tony on bass. Dilly Dally plays like one person, a unit that works to infect the audience.
Their debut is strong due in part to production from Josh Korody and Leon Taheny. On it Monks and crew manage to allude to Sonic Youth, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Distillers, and The Pogues. Monks calls Sore “All that and a bad of weed.”
“Sore is an album about rebirth,” Monks says, “hence its disgusting guitar tones and constant moaning. What can I say, happiness is a struggle, but the last thing I’d ever want you or anyone else to do is give up that fight.”
