Country Duo Makenna & Brock Sign Artist Development Agreement with Clif Doyal Agency

signingsCountry duo, Makenna & Brock, have signed an exclusive artist development agreement with the Clif Doyal Agency, of Nashville. Under the agreement, Doyal’s umbrella of service companies will oversee all facets of their career, including personal management, publicity, booking and A&R. The duo is represented by veteran music industry attorney, Orville Almon, of Almon & McPike, PLLC.

Makenna & Brock’s signing with Doyal was part of a whirlwind week in Music City that included a standing-room-only songwriter’s show performance at the world-famous Bluebird Café, meetings with multiple song plugging groups, and co-writing sessions, all in preparation for the release of their official debut single, slated for Summer 2015.

Makenna Sullinger and Brock Wade, who split their time between Springfield, MO and Nashville, first appeared on the national radar in 2011 when they captured the hearts of tens of millions of viewers and all four judges as Top-12 finalists on the American version of Simon Cowell’s hit television show, The X-Factor. Their show-stopping performance garnered critical acclaim from the esteemed judging panel, which included Cowell, Paula Abdul, Cheryl Cole, Nicole Scherzinger, and Chairman and CEO of Island Def Jam Music Group, L.A. Reid. Subsequently, Makenna & Brock received exposure in major publications such as People, theWashington Post, Country Daily and Rolling Stone, and many prominent websites, including,, and

While they did not win the competition, the experience bolstered their confidence, and ignited a fierce determination to take control of their career and push it to new heights. With a full band, they currently maintain a busy touring schedule, performing throughout the U.S. They have cultivated a dedicated fan base while honing their brand into one of the Midwest’s most in-demand acts for corporate events, concerts, festivals and club dates.

“Makenna & Brock have that intangible ‘it’ factor that artists either have, or they don’t,” Doyal says. “Their enthusiasm, dedication, and work ethic are very impressive. They are both great singers in their own right, but many have commented that their harmonies are so close that they sound like siblings, which they are not. That is a rare and magical quality. I see a very bright future ahead for them and I am honored to represent them.”

In a joint statement, Makenna & Brock say: “We are honored to be represented by Clif and his amazing team. They are the ultimate professionals and have already begun to make major headway in the further advancement of our careers. Clif has been instrumental in establishing many major artists in the industry and we are so excited that he has taken us on and look forward to what our future may hold together!”
