CD Review: Kerry Kurt Phillips “Renderin’ The Hits”

The past 20 years have been more than successful for one of country music’s top hit makers, Kerry Kurt Phillips, and Renderin’ The Hits is a collection of 12 of his own renditions of some of his biggest hits. The “Country 12 Pack” contains the Joe Diffie smash hits “Is It Cold In Here,” “Pickup Man” and “Prop Me Up (Beside The Jukebox), as well the Tim McGraw hit “Down On The Farm.” It also contains the smash “I Don’t Need Your Rockin’ Chair,” which he penned for George Jones. All die-hard country music fans will know every word of this album, which is why it’s great to hear them from the guy who’s responsible for writing so many of these fan-favorite country hits.
