Catching up with Shane Owens

Neo-traditional country music artist and Alabama native, Shane Owens latest single “Love Me To Death,” from his album “Thankful For Country Music” continues to uphold his commitment to keep the true sounds of country music alive.

“Traditional country music is what I was raised on growing up in Alabama,” says Owens. “Whether it be the sounds of Keith Whitley or Randy Travis, it is what has always spoken to my heart. I wouldn’t know what else to sing and it is wonderful to be making music that people want to hear.”

While the pandemic and social distancing has changed the way Shane is able to share his music, he has found ways through socials to reach his fans.

“Thankfully through Facebook Live shows and social media we are able to reach our fan base and stay active with them during these trying times. For that we are very thankful,” said Owens.

Aside from staying in touch with his fans Owens has been finding numerous things to pass the time…

“This has been an opportunity to spend some quality time with my family and that’s been great,” said Owens. “I have also been writing songs, fishing and catching up on a lot of things around the house that I usually do not have the time to get to.”

Once things start to get back to some sense of normal, Owens shared with us what he is most excited to get back to.

“The first thing I want to do is get back out on the road and play music,” said Owens. “We want to reach as many people as we can as quickly as we can and get back to doing what we love. Playing live for people is my favorite part of being a musician and I have really missed that!”

Check out “Love Me to Death” and be sure to follow Shane to keep up with new music, live streams, and announcements.
