Beegie Adair trio Releases First Live Album “The Real Thing”

“The Real Thing,” produced under the Adair Music Group label, is the trio’s 32nd album and their first live album together.  Both CDs and digital downloads will be available to the general public at www.beegieadair.com and all major online retailers on Tuesday, April 24th.  CDs will also be available for purchase at a special CD Release party/performance at the Nashville Jazz Workshop on April 29th.

This Nashville-based trio, consisting of Beegie Adair (piano), Roger Spencer (bass) and Chris Brown (drums), has become one of the most respected and praised working trios in the industry.  Having sold over 500,000 albums, their music and performances are endeared world wide from sold out shows across the United States and topping the pop and jazz charts in Japan.

“THE REAL THING is a wonderful tune and I wanted to include it on an album, at some point.” Beegie Adair states.  “It seemed to be the right thing to call a live album because when you hear us live and you’re in the audience and we’re playing on stage to a real audience rather than in a studio, it seems to me that that’s the real thing. There’s just an ambience from the audience and from the setting that creates a special kind of atmosphere. We tend to take a few more chances and even though we know you can’t fix something if you’ve done it live, it’s part of the fun.”
