AUBRIE SELLERS’ WORLD ON FIRE: MOODY EP DROPS AUG. 7

Americana Music Double-Nominee Follows Critics’ Fave Far From Home with Reimagined Take on Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game”

Aubrie SellersPaste Magazine’s #1 Country Artist to Watch in 2020, continues to set the music scene ablaze with her new music: three-track EP World On Fire (Soundly Music), set for release on August 7th. Built around covers of her deep favorites, World On Fire is teased with the songwriter/guitarist’s searing reimagining of Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game,” available July 10th.

“’Wicked Game’ is iconic, and one of my all-time favorites,” Aubrie explains. “I was thrilled to collaborate with Ethan [Ballinger] on the production. We felt there was a cosmic weight to this song, and we wanted to bring out. World on Fire has heaviness but also hope, something that I think defines our lives right now. I’m so glad to share more music and highlight some favorites we would certainly be playing live on the road right now.”

She continues, “Ethan and I were eager to get into the studio to make some music for fun. The first project we’ve produced together, we went in with no expectations beyond enjoying the creative process and playing songs we’ve loved for years. We both lean into darkness and depth, and my love for grit and his love for reverb collided and made something new.”

In addition to World On Fire, the artist MusicRow called “ferociously rocking… utterly magnetic” has joined Patreon to share exclusive content with her fan base following the cancellation of her co-headlining tour with Lillie Mae, due to COVID-19.

“The Patreon is giving me an opportunity to keep connecting with people I’d be seeing on the road right now,” Aubrie offers. “It’s a great opportunity to share things I might not have otherwise, like original demos for Far From Home, and first listens to new music. With touring being so uncertain, it feels good to have something consistent to replace it with.”

In June, Aubrie earned two Americana Music Honors & Award Nominations — “My Love Will Not Change” (featuring Steve Earle and written by Billy Burnette and Shawn Camp) for Song of the Year, while Aubrie was nominated for Emerging Act of the Year.

Aubrie’s 12-track, sophomore Far From Home album (Soundly Music) — dubbed a “raw, soulful offering that’s simultaneously easy on the ears” by NPR — dropped February 7, 2020, while she was concurrently on the road with Tanya Tucker and Brandy Clark on the CMT Next Women of Country tour and Robert Earl Keen.

About Aubrie:
Aubrie Sellers’ Far From Home was co-produced by Aubrie alongside Frank Liddell, and recorded at Sonic Ranch outside of El Paso, TX which contributed to its ethereal, cinematic landscapes. Aubrie showcases her most vulnerable songwriting to date, exploring anxiety in “Worried Mind,” apprehension in “Haven’t Even Kissed Me Yet,” emotional injustice in “Drag You Down,” unwavering commitment in “My Love Will Not Change,” and feelings of dislocation in “Far From Home.” Throughout Far From Home, unique moments transform into universal experiences, reminding us that we’re not alone. The album has received critical acclaim from NPRRolling StoneBillboardPeopleRefinery29, and LADYGUNN, among others, with Paste declaring Aubrie its #1 Country Artist to Watch in 2020.
