Americana Annual Board Meeting Results in Appointment of New Executive Committee and Goals Set for Future Growth to Capitalize on Momentum

The Americana Music Association Board of Directors convened for its annual retreat on February 25-26, announcing its newly appointed Executive Committee and setting task oriented goals for the future of the resolute not-for-profit organization.
The Board has appointed a new Executive Committee: Cliff O’Sullivan of Rounder Label Group has been named President, Amanda Hale of Vector Management will shift her role to Past-President, and John Ingrassia of Vector Management will serve as President-Elect in the Association’s leadership succession plan. The GRAMMY Museum’sLynne Sheridan will continue to serve as Secretary. The two at-large Executive Committee members are Jonathan Levine of Paradigm Talent Agency and Garth Fundis of Slate Creek Records. Kurt Vitolo will continue in his role as Treasurer, and his firm, KV Financial Group PC, will act as the Association’s accounting firm. These positions are held for one-year terms.
The new board reviewed 2015 and are re-engaged to focus its initiatives for 2016. Included are:

-Branding/Marketing
-Sponsorship
-International
The Americana Music Association Board of Directors consists of 19 elected or appointed industry professionals. Reflecting the rising influence and the creative, independent, and progressive characteristics of Americana itself, the 2016 Board includes, in addition to its Executive Committee members: John Allen (New West Records), Dave Cobb (Producer / Low Country Sound), Carrie Colliton (Record Store Day), Tim Fink (SESAC), Mark Moffatt(Producer), Al Moss (Al Moss Promotion), Todd Ohlhauser (Mercy Lounge), Jessie Scott (Music Fog / Sun Radio), and Drew Thurlow (Pandora). Musicians Rodney Crowell, Mary Gauthier, and Buddy Miller return as artist representatives. John Beiter of Shackleford, Bowen, McKinley & Norton, LLP will continue to serve as the Association’s counsel. Described by MOJO Magazine as the “roots alternative to the GRAMMYs and South by Southwest,” the Association’s annual Festival & Conference in Nashville, Tennessee has become one of the nation’s leading boutique music events. With its strategic partenerships around the world, the Association is poised to lead the community to untrodden heights throughout the new year.
