American Idol Alums Will Be Well-Represented At The 2012 CMA Music Festival

Carrie Underwood gained national attention on American Idol.

Millions of people tune in every week to watch American Idol and then take to their phones to vote for their favorite. While all the contestants want to be declared the winner, many of the contestants are able to use the popular reality show as a launching pad for careers in music, as well as theater, television and movies.

Several former contestants have chosen to make their careers in country music. Fans will be able to connect with many former Idol contestants at this year’s CMA Music Festival. Below, you will find information about where you need to see (and possibly meet) some of your Idol faves.

Carrie Underwood

Carrie will be pretty active during CMA Music Festival. On Tuesday, she will be holding her annual fan club party. Believe it or not, this is the fifth year of Carrie’s fan club. Fans who have attended before say it’s one of the best parties of the week. Carrie give a performance, does a Q&A with fans, and even plays games and has little contest with her fan club. Apparently, it’s a pretty interactive fan club party. From what I’ve heard, Underwood doesn’t do a meet and greet session. The event is held at the Grand Ole Opry house, which makes it cool in my book. Carrie is already confirmed to perform Tuesday night at both the 7 pm and 9:30 pm shows.

Tickets are not available. An email was sent out to Underwood’s fan club members to RVSP if they were able to go. Then, a group was selected to attend. The fans that were selected then had to confirm that that would be able to attend the party.

Underwood will be performing Friday night at LP Field. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com

Underwood will also be playing on the Grand Ole Opry Team during the City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge on Saturday morning. From what I understand, fans typically have good luck at getting autographs, so that’s probably your best bet if you are hoping for Underwood’s autograph. Tickets are still available at Ticketmaster.com.
