2019 Country With Heart Raises 5-Thousand Dollars for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

The 5th Annual Country With Heart benefit for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is proud to announce donations totaling 5-thousand dollars this year. The money was raised through ticket sales for the annual music event during CMA Fest week in Nashville, along with a silent auction and donations. The proceeds will go directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee to help in their mission of “Saving Children. Finding Cures.”

Host and organizer, hit singer/songwriter Bobby Marquez shared, “One of my fans, Petey Northrup was a St. Jude kid. He has motivated all of us to gather each year and celebrate the miracle of St. Jude’s research, while raising more for them to continue their great work. I just can’t thank everyone enough who donated their talents, their time and money for this event. We are all so fortunate. And on behalf of the sponsor, Workout Anytime 24/7, we are focused on family and wellness and sharing our own blessings.”
Saturday, June 8th, country music fans and stars came together during CMA Music Fest for an evening of live entertainment and fellowship at the intimate Nashville Nightlife Theatre. Doors opened to a celebrity welcome and autographs with an array of unique silent auction items. Donations of original paintings, handmade quilts, stage clothing worn by legends of country music and rare autographed memorabilia were all up for bids.
Grand Ole Opry star Crystal Gayle had fans on their feet as the surprise guest. Another highlight was a tribute to Connie Smith from her friend and fellow country music legend, Barbara Fairchild who was joined on stage by Lawrence Welk Show alum Ava Barber and emerging artist Sara Simmons for a wonderful rendition of Smith’s hit, “Once A Day.”
Riders In The Sky, T. Graham Brown, Chuck Mead, Tony Jackson, Carlton Anderson, Gary Chapman and Wade Landry filled the theatre with energy and fun for fans traveling as far as from Australia and New York to take in the show.
The funds raised at the 5th Annual Country With Heart event pair with money raised each fall at the annual Buck Creek Trail Ride to total nearly 100-thousand dollars each year over the past four years.
