Iroquois Steeplechase today announced the dates of and participants in its second annual Dressing for Steeplechase weekend, a pre-race shopping event featuring Nashville’s hottest retailers. Dressing for Steeplechase will be held April 18 and 19, with a special kickoff event on April 17 hosted at upscale women’s clothing boutique Gus Mayer with special guest Peter Nappi, Nashville’s go-to retailer for premium leather footwear and goods.

Dressing for Steeplechase weekend is a chance for Iroquois Steeplechasers to shop at some of Nashville’s favorite stores while giving back to a great cause. Retailers will donate a portion of all sales to the Iroquois Steeplechase, whose official charity beneficiary is Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

“We had a great turnout at last year’s inaugural Dressing for Steeplechase Day, so we decided to extend the fun throughout an entire weekend,” said GeorgeAnn Dingus, director of sponsorship and business development for the Iroquois Steeplechase. “We’ve added more retailers and a great kickoff event hosted by Gus Mayer.”

On April 17, during regular store hours, Gus Mayer will commence the Dressing for Steeplechase weekend, offering guests a preview of the shopping weekend and a chance to win a $1,000 Best Dressed gift certificate for a race day-ready outfit. Guests can enter to win in the store now through April 22nd. The lucky winner will also receive two Hunt Club tickets and 1 VIP parking pass to attend the Iroquois Steeplechase on May 9, 2015, courtesy of Gus Mayer. Peter Nappi representatives will be on site at Gus Mayer to offer a first look at the limited edition boot designed for the 75th Anniversary of the Iroquois Steeplechase. Guests will enjoy light finger foods and complimentary beverages.

On Saturday, April 18, swing by the Peter Nappi store in Germantown and enjoy complimentary Prosecco. Peter Nappi will be taking pre-orders for the boot with 40 percent of proceeds benefitting the Iroquois Steeplechase. The event is open to the public.
