“This is my first release of my own music in ten years. I’ve been producing, engineering and remixing for others, but have not focused on my creative needs for a long time. I felt like I wanted to do a record that reflects my journey as both a musician and DJ. I really wanted to give that old school feel to the songs..I guess what I mean is to record “real music” with live instruments and arrangements…which are kind of a homage of all the music I grew up listening to.” ~Matt Warren~

Musicians on this collection are Matt Warren on electronic instruments, and programming. Pepper Gomez with vocals, Janis McGee and Elena Andujar with vocals. Then we have Ron Haynes on horns and Mike “Champagne” Anderson on guitar. Antone Montgomery performing on bass and Sharkeyes on electronic instruments, and programming. We also have Frank Schabold on bass, Adam Kucharzyk on guitar and Richard Meyer, Junior on piano. We also have another awesome musician, Wes Nelson coming in on bass as well.

Continuously creating, “Music Is My Life” is the first ever Nu House album, and is about to transform dance music. “Music Is My Life” features eleven tracks, and opens with the sultry rework of “How Do I Love Thee”. It’s a surefire floor-filler featuring a vocal tour de force from legendary house diva, Pepper Gomez. She returns on a triumvirate of anthemic tracks, adding a coquettish vocal on “Catch Me If You Can” and a sultry sounding vocal on the remake of “The Way To My Heart.”Pepper Gomez then steals the show on the anthem “Sometimes”, with her sensuous sounding vocal.

However, this is just part of the story of “Music Is My Life.”There’s also a remake of the Chicago House classic, “Bang The Box”, the Matt Warren composition, “Going Deeper” and “Musica Es Mi Vida” which is sure to become a favourite of DJs and dancers everywhere.
