Travis Rice’s single “Sinking Ship” tugs at the heart. It is filled with his smooth vocals and raw lyrics. The melody has a sad feel to it. The song is heart wrenching. Travis explains within the song how unhealthy relationships leave you drowning. This is the outcome of a relationship that had negative impacts on the couple. Rice wrote this song based on life experiences. He realizes that many people can relate to this situation. “Sinking Ship” almost has a haunting sound to it. I think people can really connect to not only the lyrics, but the feeling that follows throughout the song.Travis Rice has a country charm that brings back the sound of traditional country. Rice is from a small town in Tennessee. His love for music is stemmed from influences such as AC/DC, to Celine Dion, and of course some of the greats like Garth Books. He is a thrill seeker that finds performing to be the most rewarding thrill of all. He started 2017 with a bang when he was named one of the “Top 10 Sexy Men of Nashville.” Travis has shared the stage with some of country music’s best such as Craig Morgan, Randy Travis, and Travis Tritt. Travis Rice is an artist with the whole package from song writing to performing, he has it all. I can’t wait to hear more.
