The 2nd Annual Texas Regional Radio Music Awards Performers Announced

The 2nd Annual Texas Regional Radio Music Awards are fast approaching!   Some of hottest acts from the Texas/Red Dirt scene will be performing live on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at the Arlington Music Hall.  The show will begin at 4:00 p.m. with awards being given out to artists and radio stations during the ceremony to honor their achievements over the past year. Tickets for the awards show are $10, $15 and $25 for preferred seating. They can be purchased online at www.ArlingtonMusicHall.com.  The show will be hosted by Texas Country Superstar, Deryl Dodd and Ali Dee, star of CMT’s popular reality show, “Texas Women.”

The Randy Roger’s Band is nominated for “Entertainer of the Year,” “Album of the Year,” and “Duo/Group/Band of the Year.”  Two members of the band, Randy Rogers and Brady Black will perform a special acoustic song for the crowd.  The Casey Donahew Band, who has 5 nominations, will perform, “Double Wide Dream,” from their highly acclaimed album.  Kylie Rae Harris and Zane Williams, who have become a popular duo on the Troubadour TX TV show, will perform “Pablo and Maria.”  There will be more announcements coming forth on additional artists and presenters appearing on the show.
     
The 2nd Annual Texas Regional Radio Music Association Seminar will precede the awards on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Cooper’s Barbecue in Fort Worth, TX.  The seminar will last from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Registration is $35.00 for the seminar and TRRM Awards. Seminar tickets only are $25.00. Radio and industry professionals can register at www.trrma.net/seminar. On Saturday evening, the Thirsty Armadillo will host a showcase of new Texas/Red Dirt artists from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight for attendees.  The seminar is geared toward Texas Regional Chart Radio Reporters and music industry professionals that want to learn about the Texas/Red Dirt format.

ABOUT TEXAS REGIONAL RADIO & MUSIC ASSOCIATION

The Texas Regional Radio & Music Association was developed by the Texas Regional Radio Group for professionals that work in the Texas Music Industry.  The association will be the avenue by which nominations and voting for the TRRMA shall be interpreted and decided.  Members in good standing can nominate and vote on ballots during the specified time periods in the different award categories.  The backbone of the Texas Regional Radio and Music Association is our membership and their support to develop the Texas Music Industry.  Applications are available at www.trrma.net and are subject to final approval of the Association’s Board of Directors.
