Spotlight Southern Style for Southern Women’s Show


For the second year in a row, the Southern Women’s Show (SWS) Nashville will host artists selected by Women of Music, Music of Women (WMMW.)  Eight separate acts will hit the small music stage, located in the heart of the show, over the course of the four-day event.  The acts include a variety of solo artists, duos and bands representing many genres; each with their own unique sound and and style.

The spotlight showcase kicks off the opening of SWS with a singer/songwriter round.  Featuring several artists from the weekend line up, the round will begin at 10:00am, Thursday, March 30th.  Following this two-hour introduction, NSAI Top 40 Country writer/artist PJ Ju will take stage at 2:00pm followed by the Folk/Rock stylings of Hilary Romaine at 4:00pm.

Friday morning, returning performer and yogi Ashlee K. Thomas will take stage at 10:00am followed by the country Gospel sounds of Amanda Pruitt at 11:00am.  Be sure to catch duo The Hummingbyrds and their harmonic Americana songs at 12:00pm, and the powerful Country vocals of Sarah Martin at 2:00pm.

Saturday performances include The Band J4, a melodic American/Pop/Alt-Country sibling group at 11:00am followed by Americana/Rock/Bluegrass dynamic duo the wRight Darlings at noon. 

Founded by Cilene Bosch, WMMW is an organization that supports the efforts of females in the music industry on a global level.  The efforts of WMMW are sponsored in part by the Nashville Music Guide, this collaboration allots for member artists to be featured in Women of Music Wednesdays Spotlight articles and other promotional publicity.  WMMW members receive the benefits of: marketing, promotions, event performances, gig swaps and more.  

In June 2017 WMMW will be hosting a series of showcases during the CMA Music Festival.  Membership sign-up opportunity and other information will be available during the Southern Women’s Show.  Stop by the WMMW Exhibitor Booth (#1119) located across from the stage, where the organization will host Meet & Greets with artists, signings, merch sales and much more!
