School of Rock Opens in Music City

SCHOOL OF ROCK OPENS NEW FRANCHISE LOCATION IN MUSIC CITY!
Franklin, TN music school will host its grand opening event on October 29

School of Rock is thrilled to announce the opening of a new location in Franklin, TN! This is the program’s first rock school in Music City and husband-and-wife/owners Kelly and Angie McCreight are excited to bring local music students the opportunity to experience all the wonderful programs and unique opportunities that the School of Rock offers. Their son’s strong interest in learning to play guitar and perform, paired with the unusual scarcity of music schools with performance opportunities in the famed music town, fueled their motivation to open a new location. “Music instructors in the Nashville area are plentiful, whether they are providing private instruction or working in a school setting. School of Rock is a totally different concept, as it offers the students the chance to play at live venues on a regular basis,” explains Angie McCreight, co-owner / general manager, School of Rock Franklin. “We have had the opportunity to speak with many parents who are looking for a longer-term solution to further develop their child’s talents. The School of Rock is a concept that Middle Tennessee currently does not have. This will be the solution for so many parents and students.

“Nashville is so much more than just country music. So many genres call Nashville home, and we want to capitalize on that on behalf of the School of Rock,” comments Kelly McCreight, co-owner. “Everything from country to jazz, and classical to rock is written, recorded and produced in Music City, and what better place to have a School of Rock to help develop our young aspiring musicians. That is a major reason as to why we wanted to bring the School of Rock to the Middle Tennessee area.”

School of Rock strongly believes that the best way to learn music is to play music, taking students from the lesson room to the stage, developing both their confidence and musicianship with programs designed for all skills. Program staples include the Performance Program, where students will learn harmonies and musicianship during weekly group sessions and performances in an authentic rock show environment during live performances at local venues; and Rock 101, which teaches students key instruments including guitar, bass, drums, keyboard & vocals, while playing actual rock music and weekly sessions that help them understand the dynamics of playing in a group. For more intermediate to advanced students looking to take their music journey further, School of Rock has launched three new Artist Development programs: Band Coaching, Project Studio, and Epic Albums.

School of Rock Franklin is located at 616 Bradley Court Franklin, TN 37067. Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday from 12:00pm-8:00pm, and Saturday from 10:00am-4:00pm; the school is closed Fridays and Sundays.
