Rose Cora Perry & The Truth Untold Set to Represent Canada at Summer NAMM as Sole Canadian Performer

In conjunction with the release of Rose Cora Perry’s critically-acclaimed sophomore solo album, “Onto the Floor”, her live touring duo, “Rose Cora Perry & The Truth Untold” have been selected as the ONLY Canadian act to perform at this year’s Summer NAMM taking place in Nashville, TN this July.

Featuring the exceptional talent of Tyler Randall on Drums (Blind Mag/Swerve) with Perry handling Vocals, Guitar and Songwriting, within a mere six months of coming together as a live act for Perry’s latest release, The Truth Untold conquered audiences of 25,000+ , performing at 15 summer festivals and winning over crowds of 20-somethings and babyboomers alike.

While Perry, notably recognized for her past successes with former major label signed act, Anti-Hero, has performed at Canadian equivalent industry showcases including CMW and NXNE, this will be her first live performance at an American music industry conference.

“I am tremendously honoured and hope to do my country, fellow indies, fellow female rockers and of course my sponsor DaisyRock Guitars proud!” says Perry.

Attendance at NAMM is restricted to exhibitors, selected media personnel, sponsored artists and industry representatives, however the Terrace Stage Concert Series is open to the public and there is no cost to attend the performances. Perry’s unique brand of rock’n’roll acclaimed for its dynamic vocals, relatable lyrics, chugging guitars and hard hitting rhythms is sure to bring something fresh to the ‘Music City’ primarily known for its affinity to country.

Summer NAMM officially kicks off on Thursday July 13th and runs until Saturday July 15th. Beyond its exhibitors, its schedule includes educational panels, product demos and of course live music including Perry’s Nashville debut, which will be taking place on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 2:00pm.

Marking another first of Perry’s career, she was successful in obtaining grant monies from FACTOR to cover her travel expenses as she ventures from her hometown in London, Ontario to Nashville by car. Though the band is in for a long haul estimated at 10 hours drive each way, Perry is hardly discouraged; a personality characteristic of hers that is largely responsible for landing the showcase slot in the first place.

At age 15, following the founding of her own record label and first band, Perry reached out to DaisyRock Guitars in hopes of becoming their first Canadian sponsored artist. Through persistence, she won that title and it was through this longstanding relationship (Perry now aged 32) that she was finally granted the opportunity to apply for a Summer NAMM showcase slot, as DaisyRock Guitars will be there representing their brand as one of the exhibitors.

Perry proudly promotes DaisyRock Guitars for making instruments that are, “lightweight and easy to maneuver”. In her own words, “DaisyRock Guitars live up to their name: they’re fun, perfect for females and they certainly rock!”

The 2017 Los Angeles NAMM event saw Richie Sambora (formerly of Bon Jovi) take the stage. While Summer NAMM’s headlining act has yet to be announced, this is definitely exciting news for hardworking Canadian independent musicians and female performers, alike.
