Augusta Purvis was born in Kentucky in the early 70’s, Augusta was raised  on music. As a child, singing in a little country church, Augusta would  barely raise her head as she sang “Amazing Grace” for the  small congregation. Her early musical influences include Emmy Lou Harris, Merle Haggard and the Eagles, whose songs were performed by her dad’s cover band.  In 1996, she moved to Nashville determined to follow her  dreams wherever they may lead. Along the way, Augusta has learned a lot about music, performing, love, and life. Her new  CD, LESSONS IN LIFE, is a collection of 10 original songs.  From the country ballad “Here I Go Again” to the rock-flavored  “Momma’s Advice”, Augusta shows her musical influences well. In November of 2005 she recorded the song "My Perfect Mistake" for Nashville Music Guide Records which is to be released to radio in 2006. A 30 second commercial of Augusta singing the chorus song is airing in December on GAC. For GAC dates and tp purchase Augusta's records:
