BENEFIT NEWS: The third annual Guitars Of The Stars Benefit Auction will be held June 9th at 4pm in Nashville’s Hall of Fame Park. Jerrod Niemann, Darius Rucker and Carrie Underwood are among the artists who designed guitars for the event. Josh Thompson and Steve Wariner will each perform and autograph an instrument for the auction, proceeds from which benefit the Opry Trust Fund assistance to country industry members in need. www.opry.com for info… Warner Bros./WAR’s John Rich has made his album FOR THE KIDS available at Dollar General stores and at DG’s music website. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to St.. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

BUSINESS BUZZ: Big Machine Sr. Dir./New Media & Promotion John Zarling has been upped to VP/Promotion & Media Strategy for Big Machine Label Group, thus adding Republic Nashville to his area of oversight…. Another good shot of ecomonic news. New venture Rodeowave Entertainment has launched new music from Phil Vassar, last month. Operationally headed by industry vet Teddi Bonadies, Rodeowave is a full-service label, promotion staff and entertainment management company. “Let’s Get Together” dropped May 3rd via PlayMPE.

CD RELEASES: After 21 years, the duo Foster & Lloyd — comprised of singer-songwriter Radney Foster and Bill Lloyd — have reunited, and written 14 songs for a new album released in May. Titled, IT’S ALREADY TOMORROW.’ They co-wrote all the 12 songs. Before going their separate ways in 1990, Foster & Lloyd recorded three albums for RCA and charted nine singles, including 1987’s ‘Crazy Over You,’ which peaked at No. 4 on the country charts. Since going their separate ways in 1990, Foster & Lloyd have pursued their own solo careers. Having remained friends and continuing to write together over the years, the two reunited to perform together for the first time in 20 years for a recent Americana Music Association fundraiser.

CMA MUSIC FEST NEWS:  Chris Young, Heidi Newfield, Dierks Bentley joins the LP Field lineup during the 2011 CMA Music Festival. Lady Antebellum, Reba, Ashton Shepherd, Sugarland and Keith Urban are on Friday June 10th bill. Go to www.cmaworld.com, to get all the updates and places to be.

CMT AWARDS:  The Music fest kicks off with the CMT Music Awards on Wednesday June 8th.  Fourty year old, Kid Rock returns to the stage to host the CMT Music Awards on June 8. The Michigan-based rocker (real name: Robert “Bob” Ritchie) hosted last year’s awards.. Jason Aldean leads the way with four nominations for this year’s awards, followed closely behind by Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift and the Zac Brown Band with three nominations each. The 2011 CMT Music Awards mark the 10th anniversary of the awards show and will air live from Nashville on CMT.

COUNTRY WEEKLY NEWS: Country Weekly has announced the lineup for the 2011 Country Weekly Fashion Show and Concert, benefiting Musicians On Call.  The show will be held on Tuesday June 7th at Rocketown. Clothing and boots from Durango, Flavour boutique and Wrangler will be featured on the runway. Joe Nichols will perform at the Fifth Annual Country Weekly Fashion Show & Concert. The event will benefit Musicians On Call, a nonprofit organization that brings live and recorded music to patients in health-care facilities. LABEL NEWS: Arista Records: Arista’s Brad Paisley premiered his video for “Old Alabama” last week on the SPEED Network, NASCAR.com and on the world’s largest HD video board during the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race in Charlotte. The video features racing legends Darrell Waltrip and Jeff Gordon, Hendrick Motorsports owner Rick Hendrick and Alabama (Randy Owen, Jeff Cook & Teddy Gentry….

 Average Joe Entertainment: The number twenty-one signifies a rite of passage for many, but to AJE recording artist Corey Smith, twenty-one has taken on an entirely different meaning.  As a song originally penned over seven years ago, “Twenty-One” has gone on to be a top-seller for Smith. The single, now available on iTunes, has since been revamped from its original form and found a new home on his upcoming album, THE BROKEN RECORD, which will hit shelves on June 21, 2011.  The music video for the single can be seen at CoreySmith.com

US Weekly had the exclusive photo and story for the Country Wedding of the Year. Miranda also celebrated with her latest single being at number one chart position. It is a “Heart Like Mine’ isn’t it?
